About FIA — Federal Investigation Agency

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is Pakistan’s premier federal law-enforcement body under the Ministry of Interior. It investigates offences relating to economic crime, cybercrime, anti-human smuggling, counter-terrorism, immigration, passport and visa offences, intellectual property, and organised crime. The agency was formed in 1975 under the FIA Act, 1974, and operates through multiple zones — Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Rawalpindi — along with specialised wings such as the National Cybercrime Wing, Anti-Human Smuggling Circle, Anti-Corruption Circle and Economic Crime Wing.

FIA Jobs are some of the most sought-after in Pakistan’s federal government sector because of the career trajectory (Constable → Head Constable → ASI → SI → Inspector → AD → DD), competitive BPS pay, uniformed service allowances, housing, medical cover, family pension, and prestige. The FIA Jobs 2026 advertisement is the largest recruitment cycle run by the agency in five years — the last major hiring cycle was in 2021 — and it opens the door for matriculation, intermediate and graduate-level candidates from across Pakistan.

The official FIA recruitment information is published on the FIA website at www.fia.gov.pk/careers, and the 2026 online application is handled by the National Police Foundation Testing & Assessment Service (NPFTAS) at npftas.pk — sometimes referenced in older search queries as jobs.fia.gov.pk, job.fia.gov.pk, recruitment.fia.gov.pk or www.fia.gov.pk jobs.

FIA Jobs 2026 Preparation Tips — Complete Strategy

1. Start with the Syllabus, Not Random MCQs

Most candidates waste weeks solving random GK books without mapping them to the FIA syllabus. Download the FIA 2026 syllabus PDF, highlight your weak subjects, and allocate study time accordingly.

2. Solve 5+ Years of FIA Past Papers

NPFTAS/FPSC question patterns repeat every 2–3 years. Going through past papers reveals the most-asked Pakistan Affairs, Islamic Studies, and Current Affairs topics. Visit the FIA Past Papers section above to start.

3. Attempt a Full-Length FIA Online Mock Test

Take at least 3 FIA online mock tests under real exam conditions (90 minutes, 100 MCQs, no breaks) to train speed, accuracy, and stamina. Aim for 70+ correct to be in the safe zone.

4. Build Physical Fitness Early (for Uniformed Posts)

Clear 1-mile in 7 minutes (male) / 10 minutes (female) by running for 25–30 minutes daily with 2 interval sessions per week. Also practise push-ups, sit-ups, and chest expansion.

5. Memorise High-Yield Facts

Top areas: Pakistan’s Prime Ministers & Presidents, Constitution 1973 (major articles), Pak-India wars, CPEC, OIC/UN basics, 2024–2026 current affairs, FIA Act 1974 (key sections), Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016.

6. English & Vocabulary Daily

Commit 30 minutes daily to Oxford Word Power synonyms/antonyms, Active-Passive voice, and sentence correction exercises — this single subject drops the most marks for otherwise strong candidates.

7. Use QuizWing’s Free Resources

Practise chapter-wise MCQs on One Paper MCQs, Current Affairs, Pakistan Studies, and General Knowledge — all free, mobile-friendly, and aligned with the FIA 2026 pattern.
